WINE SURVIVOR – 2ND EDITION OFFICIAL RULES

Note: This is an elimination draw. Tickets will be drawn until one team is left in the competition and declared the winner.

  • Each team consists of five (5) Castaways
  • You must be at least 19 years of age to enter the contest. Tickets must be purchased in Ontario.
  • Each Castaway purchases at least one $30 entry ticket to become a member of a team.
  • In total, 120 bottles of wine will be awarded. Each bottle will have a minimum retail value of $14.95 and all wine will be purchased at the LCBO or a licensed manufacturer.
  • An individual Castaway can purchase more than one entry ticket and can be part of more than one team.
  • Organizers will ensure that the total number of entries is divisible by five (5).
  • Hanover Rotarians cannot be a Castaway.
  • A maximum of 200 tickets will be sold up to and including Friday March 21st 2025 (entry period) on a first-come first-served basis or until all tickets are sold.
  • All prizes will be awarded.
  • Each elimination draw will be conducted at 825 Tenth Street (Tenth Street Wealth) Hanover, Ontario and will be broadcast via Facebook Live starting at 7 pm each evening.
  • As names are drawn, that person is eliminated but may still be on a winning team. A team is eliminated when all the team members have been eliminated.
  • Each Castaway must provide their full name, mailing address and phone number. Each team will provide one email contact and team name.
  • Tickets may be purchased from any member of the Hanover Rotary or call/text Jim Schlatman @ 226-668-5046.
  • The Rotary Club of Hanover will post eliminated and winning Castaway names on our Facebook page and our website at rotaryofhanover.ca
  • Entrants agree to have their name and photo published on the Rotary of Hanover website and Facebook page.
  • The winning castaways will be notified by  using the information provided at registration and a list of eliminated numbers will be available at rotaryofhanover.ca.
  • Arrangements will be made with the winning teams to pick up their prizes. We will arrange for a mutually convenient pick up location within 100 km of Hanover, Ontario.

The tickets will be drawn over 3 consecutive evenings as follows:                                          

Round 1 - Mar 24

75 entries eliminated

Round 2 – Mar 25

75 entries eliminated

Round 3 – Mar 26

50 entries eliminated with final winner determined

1st Prize: Only team not eliminated:

60 bottles of wine to be distributed equally to each team member ($897 Value)

2nd Prize: Last team to be eliminated:

25 bottles of wine to be distributed equally to each team member ($373.75 Value)

3rd Prize: Second last team to be eliminated:

15 bottles of wine to be distributed equally to each team member ($224.25 Value)

4th Prize: 25th team eliminated:

10 bottles of wine to be distributed equally to each team member ($149.50 Value)

5th Prize: First team eliminated:

10 bottles of wine to be distributed equally to each team member ($149.50 Value)
